I have tried to get a job but no luck. I want to leave his house and live on my own. I am sick of this everyday insults and fighting.

After a point , as society dictates the son has to shoulder the responsibility. For this he needs to become independent and earn his income. As your father do not think that you will be independent one day , he vents out all frustration on you. You need to change his perception , win trust and give him confidence that you are doing something in that direction. Once he is assured , your father will be the first person to be proud of you. However , all this will require a lot of work and sincere effort from your end . Earning a living is not easy in this world, you have to work hard.
