My 14-year-old daughter is very disrespectful, aggressive and rude. I took her phone away for couple of hours and she screamed at me, "You have no right to touch my stuff!". She yells at her mother if she touches her wardrobe . She says things like "You are the worst parents and you should be slippered".
This is very upsetting and heartbreaking. We have stopped inviting guests over to our place.
Aggressive behavior among teenagers is not uncommon these days. I am a father of a 12 year old son and I can already see signs of rebel , anger and disobedience. He has the mantra of not doing what is being told to him. I realized that telling him what to do is upsetting him more than issue itself. Kids do not want instructions , they want to take their own decisions even if they are wrong. May be you are telling your daughter often what she should do and how she must behave and that is the reason she has become aggressive. She herself might know the real reason behind her rude behavior.
